Victory Pushes Gremlins Record to 63-52
|
Adam Pappalardo, who is tied for 4th in the RCL in triples with 5, had a 3-RBI night to help the Houghton Gremlins down the Quebec Armada, 7-3. The winner was Owen Stegemann, who threw 103 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits. Houghton is in second place in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division with a record of 63-52.
With Houghton leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Pappalardo hit a fastball from Bill Zink for a 2-run triple. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Gremlins ahead, 6-3.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Quebec skipper Ramu Pavi said.
