West Island Jazz starter Oscar Alfaro led his team to victory over the Montreal Mounties, 4-1. The left-hander was locked-in. The second-place Jazz sport a record of 75-60.

West Island used the clutch hitting of Chris Jones to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Jazz ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"That's what this team is about," said Jones, "picking each other up."
