Toreros Stay Hot, Beat Blazers, 3-1

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and Bloomington Blazers.
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros downed the Bloomington Blazers, 3-1, at Field de Los Layendas. Stellar pitching by Dan Brown had a lot to do with it. The left-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Brown yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-2. Victor Gonzalez earned his 7th save, after closing out the game.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Toreros had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when third baseman Ron Mulhollan hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jay Vincent and made the score 2-0, Toreros. Mulhollan was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Toreros manager Labib Sarahani.
This win makes it 5 in a row for Cabo San Lucas.
