The Kansas City Tornadoes were defeated, 4-2, by the Montreal Mounties at Mount Royal Grounds, even though Simon Slama pitched well for Kansas City. Bill Wolfe earned his 37th save, after closing out the game. Montreal, at 80-53, occupies first place in the Roberto Clemente League International Division.

Montreal third baseman J.N. Martin helped the Mounties go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Martin hit a run-scoring single off Kansas City pitcher Simon Slama.

"No time for posing," said Martin. "The next game will be here before you know it."
