Arson Arena was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Bloomington Blazers and San Francisco Earthquakes.

The Bloomington Blazers withstood an impressive performance by San Francisco first baseman Mike Young to defeat the Earthquakes, 11-10, at Arson Arena. Young went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sergio Apodaca, now 6-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Floyd Barrett came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Francisco pitcher Nate D'Ambrosio, he hit a 1-2 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Bloomington on top, 11-10.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews.

The Blazers raised their record to 82-50.
