Toreros Squelch Slice Offense in Shutout Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and the Manhattan Slice, pitcher Kirk Hojnacki was the difference between victory and defeat. The Cabo San Lucas right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Toreros win. Picking up the save was Victor Gonzalez, his 6th. The Toreros improved to 48-65.

Cabo San Lucas took a 2-0 lead on Ron Mulhollan's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Mulhollan hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Manhattan pitcher Jason Leffert visibly frustrated.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Mulhollan told the Cabo San Lucas Observer.
