Dahlk Swings Mavericks to 9-7 Win
The El Paso Mavericks defeated the Chicago Eclipse, 9-7, at The Corral. El Paso second baseman Matt Dahlk had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. James Burket was the winner. He's now 2-1. The loser was Joe McKnight. With the win, El Paso boosts its record to 6-6.

El Paso center fielder Alex Velasco contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Mavericks ahead, 5-3.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Chicago manager Zayar Adelabu.
