Stogies Earn 6-5 Win Versus Montreal
|
Havana beat Montreal at Mount Royal Grounds, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Allen Larson. He went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Franklin Cruz earned the win for Havana. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 10-9. The victory gives Havana a record of 59-55.
First Baseman Tommy Ivester made an impact for Havana, when he swatted a 2-run double off Warren Foradori in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Ivester was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
