The Eureka Hornets beat the Mexico City Luchadores, 9-5, at The Royal Grounds. Eureka left fielder Josh Sweet had an outstanding performance. He was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Justin Soule. He's now 12-6. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits for the Hornets. Eureka is now 83-49.

With Eureka trailing 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Sweet hit a fastball from Juan Recio for a 2-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Hornets ahead, 5-4.
