The Montreal Mounties topped the Asheville Moonshiners, 5-4, at Mount Royal Grounds. Montreal first baseman Chris Romanko was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Prince Williams. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. Nimulodi Bausi notched his 24th save in 32 chances.

Montreal grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Romanko hit a solo home run off Kiyonobu Yamasaki Jr.. His 6th home run of the season put the Mounties out in front, 5-4.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Romanko told the Montreal Observer.
