The Dallas Texans got a superb performance from pitcher Victor Lara, but the Chicago Eclipse still won the game, 6-5. Lara threw 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs. Joe Umlah, who finished 4th in the TML in saves with 40 last year, was the winner in relief. His record is now 11-3. The losing pitcher was Chris Nugent. Dallas's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Israel Cardenas was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eclipse center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Chicago manager Demetrio Recchia.
