Elliott Jacks Two Home Runs in 8-5 Montreal Win
The first-place Montreal Mounties picked up another win.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Chris Elliott, the Montreal Mounties defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 8-5. Elliott slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Mounties. The winner was Eddie Galloza, who threw 81 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 7 hits.

In the bottom of the third, Montreal right fielder Alan Willer had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Willer stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-0, Montreal. For the game, he was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Elliott told the Montreal Herald.

The Mounties win now puts them at 67-44.
