Ramrods Suffer 4-2 Loss to Slice
Manhattan Slice starter Peter Dillon found his groove in his team's 4-2 win over the Huntington Station Ramrods. The winner was Dillon. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Ben Benson. The save went to Josh Showalter, number 21 for him.

Frank Moreno had a big solo home run for the Slice in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Manhattan leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Ben Benson, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in innings pitched with 139.2, and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the Slice on top, 2-0.

"Peter has got a slow heartbeat," said Manhattan manager Giampaolo Marcovicci. "He doesn't panic or anything."

With the win over Huntington Station, the Slice improved to 56-55.
