In a close game at Copps Park, the Manhattan Slice edged the Walnut Creek Warriors, 5-4. Manhattan third baseman Ryan Wairimu stood apart with his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Manhattan reliever Terry Dunne picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Cruz was saddled with the loss. Manhattan is last in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division with a record of 40-71.

Wairimu had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 circle change from Juan Cruz, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Slice a 5-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Wairimu.
