Honu Beat Huntington Station, 3-2

Huntington Station got a valiant performance from pitcher Ben Benson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hawaii Honu. Hawaii won the game, 3-2. Benson threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Hawaii reliever David Heisler picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Bill Zink was saddled with the loss. Dane Teroitich earned the save for Hawaii, his 4th.
Timely hitting helped the Honu beat the Ramrods. Prime example: the two-out single Roberto Salgado registered in the top of the ninth. Facing Bill Zink, Salgado gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a 2-run single.
"Tough loss," said Huntington Station manager Paco Berroa. "But we'll learn from it."
The 'W' lifts Hawaii's record to 55-56.
