Mendosa hits 2 home runs as Pharaohs Squeeze Past Seattle
The Cairo Pharaohs turned back the Seattle Sasquatch, 6-5, at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Benito Mendosa, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Pharaohs now own a record of 52-58.

Cairo used a clutch at-bat from Seiju Ushijima to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Pharaohs ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Ushijima described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
