Pilots Better Tornadoes, 2-1
|
Jacksonville right-hander Antonio Rodriguez helped his team edge Kansas City by the score of 2-1. Rodriguez kept the opposing lineup in check. Jacksonville's record now stands at 55-54, placing them third in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from designated hitter Miguel Ruiz. For the game, Ruiz went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Jacksonville a 2-0 lead.
