Bradford hits 2 home runs to Ignite Hornets Offense
Mark Bradford knocked in 4 runs to help Eureka beat Chicago, 10-6. Bradford produced 1 single and 2 home runs. Harley Lowrie, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-6. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. At 59-50, the Hornets claim first place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

Eureka used the timely hitting of Wanjala Bagatui to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hornets on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Bradford. "I think we showed that here."
