The Chicago Eclipse topped the Havana Stogies, 7-4, with youngster Eli Neff playing a key role. Neff hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Eclipse in the win. Tom Elliott claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 3-0. Chicago is now 74-53, while Havana is 63-63.

Timothy McAlear contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. His at-bat helped Chicago get the win.
