Havana Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Dan Lenart pitched a gem to lead Huntington Station to victory over the Havana Stogies, 3-0. Picking up his 19th save was fireballing right-hander Ben Benson. The last-place Ramrods are now 42-67, the Stogies 68-41.
In the top of the seventh, Carlos Arevalo stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Stogies were trailing 3-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Bryan Young made a terrific pitch and Arevalo struck out. Gone was the dream of a Havana comeback.
