The Walnut Creek Warriors had to reckon with Bighorn Bison hurler Wes Stith. Stith, who is tied for 7th in the RCL with a 7.4 K/9 rate, overwhelmed the opposition in the 7-0 Bison triumph. Stith, the winner, moves to 9-6. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Bighorn is now 61-48, Walnut Creek 71-38.

Bighorn used a clutch at-bat from Bob Ferreira to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bison ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
