Hawaii got a terrific game from first baseman Matt White. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Pennsylvania, 7-5. White was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Bobby Yates snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Randy McCafferty earned his 15th save, after closing out the game.

Pennsylvania used a timely hit from Herberto Tonilhas to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Butterflies ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Very good win for our guys," said Tonilhas.

Pennsylvania is now 54-71.
