Uribe 3-for-4 to Power Bison Offense
|
Bison first baseman Manuel Uribe left his mark on his team's 7-2 win over the Bighorn Bison. Uribe went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Buffalo in the contest. The save went to Steve Hoefling, number 1 for him. The third-place Bison improved to 60-65.
Jeff Holmes went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs for Buffalo. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Jeff Lee. It was his 124th hit of the season.
Holmes told a Buffalo Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
