Mounties Need Extra Frames to Get Past Ridge Runners
The Montreal Mounties handed the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners a 5-4 loss in 11 innings at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Arnold Lysek, who is tied for 8th in the RCL in bases on balls with 65, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bill Wolfe snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-5 on the season. Bryan Young suffered the loss. With this game in the books, Montreal is 76-50, Eagle Rock 60-65.

Kiyomi Arai drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Montreal. With one out and the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, Arai had a clutch at-bat. Facing Eagle Rock hurler Bryan Young, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Mounties a 5-4 lead.
