Warriors Tear Continues with 4-2 Triumph
|
Walnut Creek pitcher Joseph Fredericks did his part in helping his team defeat the Milwaukee Millers, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Fredericks, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. With the win, Walnut Creek climbs to 12-0.
Walnut Creek went up, 4-0, on Wally Cassell's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Cassell hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Milwaukee pitcher Paul Bender shaking his head.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Fredericks.
