Walnut Creek Wins 6-1 to Continue Red-Hot Start
|
Jake Apt was nothing short of phenomenal for the Walnut Creek Warriors. The 27-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 6-1. In 6.1 innings, Apt surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Now 3-12, the 2067 Butterflies have played a subpar brand of baseball so far.
Bobby Harper helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Walnut Creek a 2-0 lead.
"Jake is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Walnut Creek manager Pedro Pérez.
