Texans Lose Big to Luchadores, 12-2
The Mexico City Luchadores took on the Dallas Texans at Metroplex Park.

The Mexico City Luchadores easily defeated the Dallas Texans, 12-2, at Metroplex Park, with designated hitter Dan Stowers a main contributor to the win. He went 4-5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3 for Mexico City. Marco Huerta, who finished 2nd in the RCL in ERA with 2.14 in 2056, was the winner. He's now 10-6. The loser was Eric Engel.

Kevin Knox had a big 2-run double for the Luchadores in the top of the second inning. With Mexico City leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a splitter from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Engel and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 26th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Luchadores ahead, 5-0.

"It kind of got out of hand on us there," said losing manager Lester Burrow.

The Texans, at 53-53, have lost 4 straight games.
