Due in large part to center fielder Sean Martineau, the Chicago Eclipse sunk the Eureka Hornets, 4-3. Martineau was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Quentin Campbell picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ezedine Adegoke was tagged with the loss. Jason Beeks earned the save, his 4th, for the Eclipse.

Tekle Njoka drove in one run for Chicago. The slick-fielding shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ezedine Adegoke. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.

"We found a way to get it done," Njoka said.

Eureka falls to 6-5.
