Montreal Mounties pitcher Leonardo Cortez was all business, helping his team muzzle the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-1. The Mounties sit in first place in the Roberto Clemente League International Division with a record of 74-49.

Montreal used a well-timed hit by J.N. Martin to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Mounties ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Mounties manager Julián Martínez.
