Pitcher Oscar Alfaro was rock solid in helping the Montreal Jazz beat the Quebec Armada, 5-1. The winner was Alfaro. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Bruce Gaulton. Wolde-Selassie Ndegwa was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Chris Sheppard had a big 2-run home run for the Jazz in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Montreal leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from Bruce Gaulton, who finished 2nd in the TML in wins with 20 in 2053, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jazz ahead, 4-1.
