The Eureka Hornets topped the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 7-3, at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Eureka second baseman Brian Carr was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Justin Soule earned the win for Eureka. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 11-6. Today's win puts Eureka at 77-45, while Eagle Rock falls to 59-62.

Eureka used a well-timed hit by Rich Swindoll to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hornets ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
