Riding the 4-hit performance of the two-time Gold Glove Award winner John Capanna, the Milwaukee Millers stopped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 7-1. The win puts the Millers at 54-50, while the Tornadoes drop to 54-50.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Capanna hit a solo home run off Mario Villegas. It propelled the Millers into the lead, 2-1.

"The team always comes first," Capanna told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
