Seattle Edges Manhattan, 5-4
|
The Seattle Sasquatch overcame a good performance by Manhattan left fielder Will Emery to knock off Manhattan, 5-4, at Copps Park. Emery went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Nate Wesson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 18th save. Seattle is now 49-55, Manhattan 46-58.
Seattle took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Raul Navarro hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Sasquatch.
Navarro told the Seattle Herald: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
