Huntington Station Wins it All
|
The Huntington Station Ramrods pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the ABL Championship in a hard-fought series with the Jacksonville Pilots.
It was a seesaw affair, but with a 16-0 victory at Arnold Field, Huntington Station lay claim to the franchise's 2nd championship.
"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Chris Kern. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."
The champs finished the regular season 82-80 and claimed third place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Huntington Station in the days to come.
