Pilots Rally Past Blazers to Claim 2-1 Series Lead
When the games really matter, the Jacksonville Pilots put on their best show, beating the Bloomington Blazers by a final score of 9-8 today. Edwin Montes was 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jacksonville now leads Bloomington 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Jacksonville trailing 8-7, Montes hit a fastball from Jason Phillips for a 2-run home run, giving the Pilots the walk-off win.

"By the skin of our teeth, man," Montes told the Jacksonville Chronicle. "But hey, it still counts. A few more by the skin of our teeth is fine with me."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arnold Field in Jacksonville.
