Ramrods, Gremlins Play 10 to Settle Game 2, Huntington Station Now Leads Series 2-0
A big day on the mound from right-hander Trace Yeadon was not enough to keep the Huntington Station Ramrods from opening up a healthy early lead in the Divisional Series. The Ramrods topped Yeadon and the Houghton Gremlins, 5-3, at Golden Goebels Park in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Yeadon threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball in the loss.

Huntington Station needed the clutch hitting of Ivan Duran to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Ramrods on top, 3-2. For the game, Duran had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Duran, "one at-bat at a time."

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Station Center Yard in Huntington Station.
