Eureka Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
The Eureka Hornets defeated the Jacksonville Pilots, 5-3 in Game 5 of the Wild Card Round today. The key to the win was starter Cesar Romo, who threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win narrows Eureka's deficit in the series to 3-2.

Eureka grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Antonio Pena delivered a 2-run double, to make it 5-3 in favor of the Hornets.

"We lost," Jacksonville manager Bill Lomax said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday at Arnold Field in Jacksonville.
