Eureka Dismisses Vancouver, 9-3
|
No one was more impactful than Mark Bradford in the 9-3 Eureka win over Vancouver. Bradford, who is rated as the 52nd best prospect by BNN, went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Harley Lowrie earned the win for Eureka. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 5-9. With the victory, the Hornets upped their record to 55-48.
Early in the game, first baseman John Campbell had a 2-run home run for Eureka. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Hornets on top, 4-2.
"When you don't put the pitches where they're supposed to be, they hit you hard," said Vancouver skipper Jesús Morán.
