Montreal Mounties first baseman Chris Romanko was the difference-maker at Stade Claude Raymond, as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game 5 of the Wild Card Round. The Mounties took the 11-3 win over the Montreal Jazz to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Montreal used the hitting of Cecil Sauls to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mounties on top, 3-0. For the game, Sauls had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Romanko.

Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday at Mount Royal Grounds in Montreal.
