Mounties Take 2-1 Lead with 5-3 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of designated hitter Cecil Sauls, the Montreal Mounties got a road win against the Montreal Jazz, 5-3, in Game 3 of the Wild Card Round. Sauls was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Mounties, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Had Sauls not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Sauls hit a 2-run triple. The Mounties took the lead, 4-2, and never looked back.

Montreal manager Julián Martínez was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stade Claude Raymond in Montreal.
