The Havana Stogies got a strong performance from pitcher Sam Del Grosso, who stymied the visiting Manhattan Slice en route to a win, 7-3, in Game 2 of the Wild Card Round. The Slice could never get a bead on the left-handed Del Grosso, who threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The Stogies now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Del Grosso allowed no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings for the Stogies. He walked 2 and struck out 6.

"Sam did a heck of a job," said Havana manager Ramón Torrez.
