Montreal picked up a win at Millennium Field, bumping off the Chicago Eclipse, 8-6. Pitcher Chris Campbell was a major reason the Mounties emerged victorious. Danny Coyle picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Clark Griswold, who is tied for 6th in the TML in complete games with 1, was tagged with the loss. Earning his 5th save of the year was Randy Mowers.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for J.N. Martin? The Montreal third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mounties on top, 5-4. For the game, Martin had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Martin told the Montreal Today.

With the win, Montreal goes to 59-44, while the Eclipse fall to 51-52.
