The Montreal Cardinals used an offensive barrage to beat the Normal Nutcrackers, 10-0, at Denis Coderre Stadium. Joe McWilliams led the way, going 3-for-3 for Montreal. Willie de los Santos was the winner. He's now 11-4. The loser was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Saxton. The first-place Cardinals lifted their record to 63-24.

Early in the game, McWilliams had a 2-run double for Montreal. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Cardinals on top, 2-0.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said McWilliams.
