The Dallas Texans beat the Havana Stogies, 10-9, in part because of catcher Brian Ernst. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Ruben Rosado snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2.1 innings. He's now 6-1 on the season. Getting the save was Chris Nugent, his 23rd.

Dallas first baseman Allen Webster helped the Texans go up, 8-6, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Webster hit a 2-run single off Havana pitcher Ignazio Menichelli.

"Crazy game," said Ernst after it ended.

The last-place Texans improved to 53-66.
