Scarlett Delivers Walk-Off Win for Rangers
|
The Carrollton Rangers faced a tough opponent in Savannah pitcher Paul Lemieux, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rangers Field by a final score of 3-2. Lemieux went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Mike LaRiviere, now 5-0, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The victory makes Carrollton 29-55.
The decisive blow was delivered by Dave Scarlett in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Orlando Vega to win the game for Carrollton. The home crowd went nuts.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Scarlett said.
