The inspired effort of Dallas designated hitter Josh Guerriero was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the Montreal Mounties. Guerriero was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Bill Wolfe was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 35 of 39 save opportunities. With the win over Dallas, the Mounties improved to 71-49.

Steve Frank helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 2-2 with 2 singles.
