4-1 Loss to Peaches Extends Normal Losing Streak
At The Nutcracker Suite, the Normal Nutcrackers and Savannah Peaches were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Paul Lemieux pitched a gem to lead Savannah to victory over the Normal Nutcrackers, 4-1. Lemieux picked up the win for Savannah, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2. Orlando Vega wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Savannah won the game in part because of Tyler Walker. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Peaches ahead, 2-0. For the game, Walker had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"Bottom line," said Normal skipper Arnold Layne, "we didn't play well enough to win."

With the victory, the Peaches upped their record to 51-28.
