The Stinging turned a fine outing from starter Victor Cardenas into a victory over the Wichita Storm at The Queen. The final score was 4-0. With the win, the Larvae are 16-63.

Gaëtan Dumortier had a big 2-run home run for the Larvae in the bottom of the second inning. With The Stinging leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Cruz and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Larvae on top, 3-0.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Cardenas said.
