Earthquakes Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Pioneers
San Francisco Earthquakes starter Ryan White was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Vancouver Pioneers, 5-1. White picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 14-5. Ken Thompson collected his 27th save.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Joe Strickland to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Luck is a dividend of sweat," said Strickland. "The more you sweat, the luckier you get."
