Slumping Larvae Lose Again
|
The Carrollton Rangers knocked off the The Stinging Larvae, 13-7, at Rangers Field. Luis Valdez hit 2 singles and 2 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. The 6th-place Rangers own a record of 24-48.
Jorge Gallegos had a big grand slam home run for the Rangers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Carrollton leading 6-3 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from Octavio Flores, who is tied for 7th in the TR in holds with 4, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Rangers on top, 10-3.
The Stinging manager Jose Correa, after yet another defeat, said: "We need to recalibrate."
