Fading Larvae Lose 22th Straight
|
The Stinging wasted a solid 7-inning effort from starting pitcher Antonio Tejera, losing to Carrollton, 1-0, at Rangers Field. Carrollton, with the win, is 23-48.
Chris Rowlette drove in one run for Carrollton. The 19-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Octavio Flores. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Jose Correa to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
