The Rosewell Tribbles got a stellar effort from pitcher Joe Gentile, helping Rosewell score a win over the visiting Yuma Varmits, 3-2. The winner was Bobby Serrano in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Scott Roberts took the loss. Chuck Green closed it out for his 6th save.

The Tribbles got a big at-bat from third baseman David Guthrie. For the game, Guthrie was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Rosewell a 2-0 lead.

"Joe's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said Rosewell manager Leonel Alba.

Rosewell raised its record to 60-10 with the win.
